Nature Connection
Connect to nature and feel its restorative benefits.
– Drink pure, fresh mountain water
– Smell the diverse wildflowers, trees, and grasses
– Eat wild edibles
– Experience the vastness and interconnectedness of these lands through 360 views
Accommodation
All of our accommodation options give you the opportunity to connect to nature. Watch wildlife grazing in the field outside the window of our ranch-based log cabins, or experience a deeper connection by renting one of our back-country cabins which immerse you in a wilderness environment.
Nature Conservation
Get involved in conservation and make a real world difference.
– Fill in wildlife sighting sheets
– Complete grass assessments
– Record white bark pine assessments
– Being the eyes and ears on the ground, and putting our observations into action
Mountain Goat Kid Count
Are you looking to make your contribution to conservation? Our annual mountain goat kid count assesses the health of the goat population and herd recruitment. Ride your horse to the mountain tops to see goats navigate rocky slopes. Your contribution helps shape goat population management strategies.
Self-Sufficiency
Become self-sufficient as you learn new skills and mindsets.
– Saddling your own horses
– Finding your own water and food
– Making your own shelter
– Learn about different plants and animals
– Fire building
Bushcraft and Survival
Do you want to become more self-sufficient in the wilderness? Learn wilderness skills such as fire making, wild edible identification and finding a natural shelter. Self-sufficiency is also a mindset of being capable, independent and self-reliant which is developed by spending time in the wilderness.
Personal Development
Embark on a self-development journey, discover who you are and who you want to be.
– Learn to pack a horse
– Learn to track animals
– Navigate in the backcountry
Guide School
Are you looking to develop the skills to be a leader and work with horses in mountain terrain? Our horseback, hiking and angling guide schools combine wilderness skills, horsemanship and guest relations to create independent wilderness mountain guides.
Empowerment
Experience the feeling of empowerment as you achieve things you never believed you could.
– Reflect on new skills you have learned
– Saddle your own horse
– Taking care of yourself on a physical, emotional, and mental level
Family Ranch Trip
A ranch-based wildlife tracking and conservation trip is an empowering opportunity for your family where everyone can learn the skills to ride or hike in the wilderness, with the comfort and safety of returning to the ranch house each day. This is the perfect first step in a graduated program of empowerment as it lays the foundation for a future camp-based wilderness trip.
Conscious and Aware
Become more conscious and aware as you see life and the natural environment from a new perspective.
– Watching out for bears in the wilderness and adjusting the plan accordingly
– Listen to and learn from your horse
– Use all of your senses
– Building the mind and body muscle of awareness internally and externally
Wildlife Tracking and Conservation Pack Trip
Our wildlife tracking and conservation pack trips are a great opportunity to practice being conscious and aware of yourself and your environment as you learn to think like the wildlife for the best chance of seeing them.
