These short wilderness training programs mean you can easily fit these experiences around your current work or school requirements.
You Will:
-Learn western mountain riding skills
-Master horse saddling, shoeing, and packing skills
-Learn how to care for horses in the remote backcountry
– Learn how to plan, prepare and lead wilderness horse pack trips
– Wildlife safety with a focus on bear safety
-Leadership training
These programs cover a broad range of skills required for entry-level positions in the adventure tourism and guide outfitting industries, including careers at guest ranches, horseback riding stables, back-country camping sites, and more.
Graduates of this training emerge as empowered, capable leaders who take charge and step up to greater responsibilities in their professional and personal lives.
2. Wilderness Lifestyle Experience

Our wilderness lifestyle experience is ideal for those looking to travel with purpose for the summer season, on a sabbatical, or on a gap year. This opportunity allows you to spend time further developing your new riding and leadership skills in a real-world setting.
3. Wildlife Tracking & Conservation Horse Pack Trip
Round up your riding club or join a group of like-minded individuals on a journey through the mountains of the Chilcotin Ark. These 5-7-day trips will take you through a wilderness of adventure and confidence-building challenges.
What to Expect:
-Develop your western riding skills as you ride through wildflower meadows and into the alpine.
