Experience Canada’s Wilderness

At Wilderness Trails, our Six Principle Philosophy—nature connection, nature conservation, self-sufficiency, personal development, empowerment, and conscious awareness—guides everything we do.

New Christmas Music Album
As winter settles in, we’ve captured this feeling in our new Christmas music album, Riding Home For Christmas, available on Spotify and many other streaming services. This festive album is filled with Christmas music to get you in the holiday spirit and shares how we experience winter in the Chilcotin Ark – connecting with nature, embracing the quiet of the season, and celebrating all we’re thankful for.

In this newsletter, we want to share how Nature Connection will be part of your experience with us as you experience Canada’s wilderness:

Canada is among the most traveled-to countries and for good reasons. With its wide-open spaces, untouched wilderness, and sense of calm away from the fast-paced world, it offers peace and safety that can’t be found anywhere else.

The Chilcotin Ark embodies this spirit of Canada’s wild heart – connect to nature and explore untouched landscapes and remote wilderness. Here, far from crowds, cell service, TV, and traffic, you can truly disconnect from city life and reconnect with nature and with yourself. Whether you sip pure, fresh mountain water, taste wild berries, smell the wildflowers, trees, and grasses, or track wildlife, nature offers its restorative benefits in many ways.

Family Ranch Adventure
From our family to your family, we want to share our wilderness lifestyle and a true nature connection with you. Our ranch-based trips are a great way to introduce your family to all the skills needed in the back country, while returning to the comfort of our ranch house each night.

Your kids learn new skills such as horse saddling and care, develop self-sufficiency by harvesting wild edibles, contribute to conservation by tracking wildlife, and feel empowered by overcoming nature’s challenges. All of this while in a natural, wilderness environment that allows you to slow down, spend meaningful time together as a family, and experience a nature connection.

Partnership for Conservation

Together with the Chilcotin Ark Institute, we contribute to conservation and stewardship efforts in the Chilcotin Ark.
All of our guests and students make their contribution to the conservation of the wilderness they are immersed in. That’s why they get involved in hands-on conservation projects and 5% of every trip and training program goes towards stewardship in the Chilcotin Ark.
