Participants learn by taking part in the daily realities of the wilderness: helping with ranch or camp chores, setting up and maintaining camp, preparing shared meals, learning tracking and observation skills, managing personal equipment, and adapting to weather and trail conditions.
Our guides provide leadership, teaching, logistical support, and a safe framework for travel. In return, we ask participants to bring curiosity, responsibility, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute to the group.
You may encounter wildlife, changing mountain weather, long days on the trail or at the lake, simple camp conditions, and moments that challenge your comfort zone. These are not inconveniences to be removed; they are part of the learning experience.

With the number of prime fishing locations in our territory, you never need to fish the same lake twice. Enjoy alpine lake fishing or stay closer to the ranch with many lakes within less than an hour’s drive. Learn about the preferred bait of fish in different lakes for the chance to reel in brook trout, Dolly Varden, kokanee and rainbow trout.
